Dear Friend

The Financial Principles are followed by The Charity Principles. Before we analyze the marriages of prophet Mohammad, what kind of charity principles that prophet Mohammad put forward, should be learned.

Charity Principle - 1

"By no means shall you attain righteousness (Paradise), unless you spend of that which you love; and whatever of good you spend, Allah knows it well." Quran 3:92

- If you are doing charity then let it be from the property that you love most.
- It should not be like you don't want something and hence you give it in charity.

Charity Principle - 2

Start with yourself and grant it some charity.
If anything remains, then spend it on your family.
If anything remains, then spend it on your relatives.
If anything remains, then spend it like this and like that (i.e., on various charitable purposes). - Prophet Mohammad.

- Reasonable spending for self, spending on family and spending on relatives is an act of charity and will be rewarded by Almighty God.

Charity Principle - 3

O Allah's Apostle! Which charity is the most superior in reward?"

He replied,

"The charity which you practice while you are healthy, niggardly and afraid of poverty and wish to become wealthy. Do not delay it to the time of approaching death and then say, 'Give so much to such and such, and so much to such and such.' And it has already belonged to such and such (as it is too late)."

- Charity becomes a superior one, when it is spent when you are healthy; not when you become old.

Charity Principle - 4

"The upper hand is better than the lower hand (i.e. he who gives in charity is better than him who takes it).

One should start giving first to his dependents.
And the best object of charity is that which is given by a wealthy person (from the money which is left after his expenses).
And whoever abstains from asking others for some financial help, Allah will give him and save him from asking others, Allah will make him self-sufficient."  - Prophet Mohammad.

- Whoever abstains from asking financial help from others, God will make him self-sufficient !

Charity Principle - 5

"Charity is obligatory everyday on every joint of a human being.

If one helps a person in matters concerning his riding animal (vehicle) by helping him to ride it or by lifting his luggage on to it, all this will be regarded charity.
A good word, and every step one takes to offer the compulsory Congregational prayer, is regarded as charity.
Guiding somebody on the road is regarded as charity."  Prophet Mohammad.

- Charity is not limited to money, property etc.
- Giving a lift on your vehicle is an act of charity.
- Saying a good word is a charity.
- Showing the way to somebody on the road is also a charity.

What you see is only a few samples from the 100s of Charity Principles that were envisaged, practiced and put before this mankind, by prophet Mohammad.

People who scandalize the marriages of prophet Mohammad, when they hear about a second marriage -

- They think that it is all about accumulating wealth.

Because,

- When they go for a second marriage, it is only for wealth.

The point is -

- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he had spent the best of his wealth to family, relatives and poor people.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he had spent everything he had in the way of Almighty God.
- ...
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, then it was based on these kind of 100s of Charity Principles.

Dear Friend

The Family Principles that are embedded by The Family Etiquette, The Behavioral Etiquette and many other etiquette are followed by the The Financial Principles. Before we analyze the marriages of prophet Mohammad, what kind of financial principle that prophet Mohammad put forward, should be learned.

Since finance is the backbone of a family, it is very important to understand these principles.

Financial Principle - 1

"And eat up not one another's property unjustly (in any illegal way, e.g., stealing, robbing, deceiving), nor give bribery to the rulers (judges before presenting your cases) that you may knowingly eat up a part of the property of others sinfully." Quran 2:188

- Prophet Mohammad closed the all the doors of financial irregularities.

Financial Principle - 2

"And give to the kinsman his due, and to the Miskin (poor), and to the wayfarer. But spend not wastefully (your wealth) in the manner of a spendthrift (extravagance). Verily, the spendthrifts (extravagant people) are brothers of the Devils, and the Devil is ever ungrateful to his Lord." Quran 17:26-27

These are from the well balanced financial principles that prophet Mohammad put forward.
- At one hand, prophet Mohammad commanded to give the dues of relatives, poor, wayfarer etc.
- At the other hand, prophet Mohammad prevented the extravagance.

Extravagant people are brothers of devils !

Financial Principle - 3

A man came to prophet Mohammad and asked "O Messenger of Allah, I have a lot of wealth, I have a family, children, and the refinements of city life, so tell me how I should spend and what I should do. ?"

Prophet Mohammad replied -
Pay the Zakath (mandatory charity) on your wealth if any is due, for it is purification that will make you pure.
• Maintain your ties of kinship.
• Pay attention to the rights of beggars, neighbors and the poor.

- Zakath is a mandatory charity that should be given on a person's wealth, yearly.
- Kinship should be maintained in ways such as by spending wealth for the needs of relatives.
- Prophet Mohammad prohibited begging; but when a beggar comes to you, he should be given something, at least some good words, if not money.

Financial Principle - 4

"Those who eat Riba (Usury or Bank Interest) will not stand (on the Day of Resurrection) except like the standing of a person beaten by Devil leading him to insanity." Quran 2:275

- Prophet Mohammad completely prohibited eating the money that came out of Bank Interest.
"Riba  (Usury or Bank Interest) is seventy types, the least of which is equal to one having sexual intercourse with his mother." - Prophet Mohammad.

- Prophet Mohammad taught that consuming the money of Usury or Bank Interest is equivalent to have intercourse with mother !

Financial Principle - 5

And those who hoard up gold and silver and spend them not in the way of Allah (One God), announce unto them a painful torment. Quran 9:34

- Prophet Mohammad gave sever warning for people who hoard up Gold and Silver.
- Prophet Mohammad taught that 2.5 percent of Gold should be given as mandatory charity in each year. And so the sliver.

What you see is only a few samples from the 100s of Financial Principles that were envisaged, practiced and put before this mankind, by prophet Mohammad.

People who scandalize the marriages of prophet Mohammad, when they hear about a second marriage -

- They think that it is an opportunity to eat another person's Money.
- They think that it is an opportunity to accumulate Money.
- They think that it is an opportunity to hoard Gold and Ornaments.

Because, for them,

- When they think about a second marriage, it is only for Money.
- When they think about a second marriage, it is only for Gold and Ornaments.
- ...
The point is -

- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he did not eat their money (if they had anything); instead he gave them money.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he did not accumulate money; instead he lived in a state of poverty.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he did not hoard Gold and Silver; instead he spent all such things (if he had anything) in the way of Almighty God.
- ...
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, then it was based on these kind of 100s of Financial Principles.

The Family Etiquette is followed by The Behavioral Etiquette. Before we analyze the marriages of prophet Mohammad, what kind of behavioral etiquette that prophet Mohammad put forward, should be learned.

Behavioral Etiquette - 1

O you who believe! Let not a group scoff at another group, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor let (some) women scoff at other women, it may be that the latter are better than the former. Nor defame yourselves, nor insult one another by nicknames. Evil is the name of wickedness after faith. And whosoever does not repent, then such are indeed wrongdoers. Quran 49:11

- Don't ridicule one another, be it between persons, be it between families, be it between any kind of groups.
- Don't ridicule one another, because the one who you ridicule would be better than you.
- Don't ridicule one another by calling nicknames.

Behavioral Etiquette - 2

O you who believe! Avoid much suspicion; indeed some suspicion is sin. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would hate it. ... Quran 40:12

- Don't talk based upon suspicion without having any evidence because it is a sin.
- Don't spy other matters because it is a sin.
- Don't backbite one another because it is a sin.

Backbite is equivalent to eating the flesh of a dead person !

Behavioral Etiquette - 3

"Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the worst of false tales;
• do not spy on one another;
• do not look for other's faults;
• do not be jealous of one another;
• do not envy one another;
• do not hate one another; and
• do not desert (shun) one another.
And O Allah's servants! Be brothers!" - Prophet Mohammad.

Behavioral Etiquette - 4

"And turn not your face away from men with pride, nor walk in insolence through the earth. Verily, Allah (One God) likes not any arrogant boaster. And be moderate in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the braying of the asses.'' Quran 31:18-19

Behavioral Etiquette - 5

"Arrogance is refusing the truth and belittling people." - Prophet Mohammad.

The Family Principles are embedded with The Family Etiquette. Before we analyze the marriages of prophet Mohammad, what kind of family etiquette that prophet Mohammad put forward, should be learned.

Family Etiquette - 1

O you who believe! Let your slaves and slave girls, and those among you who have not come to the age of puberty ask your permission on three occasions: before the Dawn prayer, while you put off your clothes during the afternoon, and after the night prayer. (These) three (times) are of privacy for you;...  Quran 24:58

This is about etiquette of entering a room. Within a house, there will be mother, father, children, servants etc. When the father and mother are inside a room, others (children, servants etc) should seek  permission before entering the room. It should not be like, they suddenly open the door and meet father and mother.

Family Etiquette - 2

O you who believe! Enter not houses other than your own, until you have asked permission and greeted those in them; that is better for you, in order that you may remember. And if you find no one therein, still enter not until permission has been given. And if you are asked to go back, go back, for it is purer for you. And Allah is All-Knower of what you do. Quran 24:27-28

This is about etiquette of entering a house. Before entering a house, the permission should be asked.

- It should not be directly getting inside the house, if one don't get any reply from within the house.
- It should not be peeking through the windows, if one don't get any reply from within the house.
- It should not be going through the backside of the house, if one don't get any reply from within the house.

And when you are asked to go back, then go back without saying I am so and so etc.

Family Etiquette - 3

"It is one of the greatest sins that a man should curse his parents." It was asked (by the people), "O Allah's Apostle! How does a man curse his parents ?" The Prophet said, "'The man abuses the father of another man and the latter abuses the father of the former and abuses his mother." - Prophet Mohammad.

- Prophet Mohammad taught - don't be instrumental in your parents being cursed by your own actions.

Family Etiquette - 4

"The person who severs the bond of kinship will not enter Paradise." - Prophet Mohammad.

Family Etiquette - 5

Allah (One God) has forbidden you

1. To be undutiful to your mothers.
2. To withhold what you should give.
3. To demand what you do not deserve.
4. To bury your daughters alive. (The 6th century people used to bury their baby girls out of shame of being the father of a girl !)
5. Allah has disliked that (A) you talk too much about others ( B), ask too many questions (in religion), or (C) waste your property."  - Prophet Mohammad

Dear Friend

The Morality Principles are followed by The Family Principles. Before we analyze the marriages of prophet Mohammad, what kind of family principles that prophet Mohammad put forward, should be learned.

Family Principle - 1

And your Lord has decreed that you worship none but Him. And that you be dutiful to your parents. If one of them or both of them attain old age in your life, say not to them a word of disrespect, nor reprimand them but address them in terms of honor. And lower unto them the wing of submission and humility through mercy, and say: "My Lord! Bestow on them Your mercy as they did bring me up when I was young.'' Quran 17:23-24

- Prophet Mohammad taught this mankind, to respect the parental relationship, especially when you are grown-up, you can stand on you own feet and your parents are old.
- He commanded the believers to pray for their parents by saying - "My Lord ! Bestow on them Your mercy as they did bring me up when I was young."

Family Principle - 2

"Everyone of you is a guardian and is responsible for his charges. The ruler who has authority over people, is a guardian and is responsible for them, a man is a guardian of his family and is responsible for them; a woman is a guardian of her husband's house and children and is responsible for them" - Prophet Mohammad.

Family Principle - 3

"The most excellent dinar (money) is one that a person spends on his family." - Prophet Mohammad.

Family Principle - 4

Worship Allah (One God) and join none with Him in worship, and do good to
• parents,
• kinsfolk,
• orphans,
• the poor,
• the neighbor who is near of kin,
• the neighbor who is a stranger,
• the companion by your side,
• the wayfarer (you meet),
• and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess.

Verily, Allah (One God) does not like such as are proud and boastful. Quran 4:36

Here again, the vastness of the relationship is explained.

- Maintaining the relation is by doing good deeds to the above people.
- Maintaining the relations is not by being proud and boastful.

Family Principle - 5

"The one who looks after a widow or a poor person is like a warrior who fights for Allah's Cause, or like him who performs prayers all the night and fasts all the day."  - Prophet Mohammad.

What you see is only a few samples from the 100s of Family Principles that were envisaged, practiced and put before this mankind, by prophet Mohammad.

People who scandalize the marriages of prophet Mohammad, when they hear about a second marriage -

- They think that it is about abandoning the parents and relatives and going after women.
- They think that it is about being irresponsible to one.
- They think that it is about stop spending money to family and going after women.
- ...

Because, for them,

- When they think about a second marriage, it is only for cutting one relation and going after the other.
- When they think about a second marriage, it is only about being irresponsible to one and being responsible to the other.
- When they think about a second marriage, it is only about stop spending to one and start with the other.
- ...

The point is -

- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he had the best ties with parents, kinsfolk, orphans, poor etc etc.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he had the best sense of responsibility towards all of his wives.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he had spent for all of his wives.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, he stood for the betterment of widows.
- ...
- If prophet Mohammad had lived with more than one wife, then it was based on these kind of 100s of Family Principles.

Dear Friend

The Married Life Principles are followed by The Morality Principles. Before we analyze the marriages of prophet Mohammad, what kind of morality principles that prophet Mohammad put forward, should be learned.

Morality Principle - 1

"The prostitution of the eyes is looking;
 The prostitution of the tongue is speaking;
 The prostitution of the ears is listening;
The prostitution of the hands is striking; and
The prostitution of the feet is walking.

The soul wishes and desires, and the private parts confirm or deny that." - Prophet Mohammad.
- Prophet Mohammad taught, looking into obscenity, looking other women with that eye, etc is the prostitution of the eyes.
- Prophet Mohammad taught, speaking that kind of matters is the prostitution of the tongue.
- Prophet Mohammad taught, hearing that kind of matters is the prostitution of the ears.
- Prophet Mohammad taught, doing that with hand is the prostitution of the hands.
- Prophet Mohammad taught, walking into that purpose is the prostitution of the feet.

Morality Principle - 2

"And those who accuse chaste women, and produce not four witnesses, flog them with eighty stripes, and reject their testimony forever. They indeed are the rebellious." Quran 24:2

- Prophet Mohammad taught that even accusing chaste women with adultery, without any evidence, is a great sin.

If the accuser cannot prove that what he is saying is true, then three rulings apply to him:
• Firstly, he should be flogged with eighty stripes,
• Secondly, his testimony should be rejected forever, and
• Thirdly, he should be labeled as a rebellious who is not of good character, character, whether in the sight of Allah (One God) or of mankind.

So, this is the kind of morality that prophet Mohammad taught, implemented and succeeded, 14 hundred years ago.

Morality Principle - 3

And those who invoke not any other god along with Allah (One God),  nor kill such person as Allah has forbidden, except for just cause, nor commit prostitution -- and whoever does this shall receive Athama (a valley in Hell). The torment will be doubled for him on the Day of Resurrection, and he will abide therein in disgrace. Quran 25:68-69

Prophet Mohammad explained the above qualities of a True Servant of The Merciful, that he/she will not commit any form of prostitution (by eyes, tongue, ears, hands and feet).

Prophet Mohammad warned that crossing the limits of morality amounts to severe punishment from Almighty God.

These are the principles that Prophet Mohammad practiced, implemented and put before this mankind.

Morality Principle - 4

The Messenger of Allah was asked which sin is the most serious ? (He replied) That you appoint a rival to Allah (One God) when He has created you. He asked, "Then what?'' He said: (He replied)  That you kill your child for fear that he may eat with you. He said, "Then what?'' He said: (He replied) That you commit adultery with your neighbor's wife. - Prophet Mohammad

Prophet Mohammad advocated to have a very close relationship with neighbors. But those relationship should not be used to deceit the neighbor in any way.

Morality Principle - 5

"Whoever can guarantee (the chastity of) what is between his two jaw-bones and what is between his two legs (i.e. his tongue and his private parts), I guarantee Paradise for him."  - Prophet Mohammad

Prophet Mohammad taught that the reproductive organs of humans are a great blessing for mankind.

- It should not be completely suppressed.
- It should not be completely expressed.
- It should be suppressed, when it should be suppressed and should be expressed, when it should be expressed, only in the permitted way.

What you see is only a few samples from the 100s of Principles of Morality that were envisaged, practiced and put before this mankind, by prophet Mohammad.

People who scandalize the marriages of prophet Mohammad, when they hear about a second marriage -
- They think that it is just another woman to fulfill the material lust.
- They think that it is just another woman to play with her chastity.
- ...

Because, for them,

- When they think about a second women, it is only for fulfillment of material lust.
- When they think about a second women, it is only to play with her chastity.
- ...

The point is -

- If prophet Mohammad had lived in a society by having more than one wife, then he had that great sense of morality.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived in a society by having more than one wife, then he had protected the chastity of women.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived in a society by having more than one wife, then he firmly stood against any kind of prostitution.
- If prophet Mohammad had lived in a society by having more than one wife, then he allowed, what should be allowed and prevented, what should be prevented.
- ...
- If prophet Mohammad had lived in a society by having more than one wife, then it was based on these kind of 100s of Principles of Morality.
